The main reasons why you should add content to your website

Creating content that visitors to your website find interesting, useful or relevant is a great way to get people to understand more about you and what you do. It is also a great way to ensure that your website is found by search engines like Google. Content also helps people connect with you and your business on an emotional level. Creating lots of content also has another benefit: it keeps your site fresh and relevant for a long time. If you have just launched your website and are still getting used to the idea of running your own business, creating lots of content might not be something you see as your first priority to move forward with your business plan.

What is Content Marketing?

Simply put, content marketing is the creation and promotion of useful and relevant content to attract, engage and convert readers (or potential customers) into buyers. For example, if you have a landscaping business and want to increase your leads, you could create a series of educational articles about common landscaping problems in your area, how to identify them and how to solve them. If you are a yoga teacher, you could write posts on how certain yoga poses can help with certain health problems or publish a series of recipes for healthy, nutritious snacks. Whatever you do, make sure the content you create suits your business and can bring you end users and customers. You can also create quizzes, infographics and other types of content to make your website fun and engaging for your readers.

Creating good content for your website

You want to create content that will engage your readers and bring them back to your website again and again. If you only have a few posts on your website, you probably won't get much traffic.

There are 3 important things to keep in mind when creating content for your website: - Target your audience: Make sure the content you create is something that resonates with your audience. No one wants to read content that is not relevant to them. - Make it easy to read and understandable: Make sure your writing is easy to read and understand. If it is too complicated or confusing, no one will bother to read it. - Make it actionable: Your content should make readers think: "I want to take action onder and try this out for myself." If not, it is not very useful.

The importance of SEO when creating content for your website

If you want your website to rank higher in search engine results, you need to make sure that the words you use in the content on your website are words that people often search for online. That way, when people are looking for businesses like yours, your website will appear higher in search engine results. The words you use are also important when it comes to sharing your website on social media. If you use words that people like to share, they are more likely to click "share" on Facebook or "retweet" on Twitter. That will send more people to your website and bring you more traffic. How you structure your content is also important for SEO. You want to make sure there is a good balance of keywords and phrases in your content. The words you use should be about 70% of the total length of your content.

3 mistakes to avoid when creating content for your website

Not thinking about your readers: Your readers are the people who will read your content. If your content does not relate to them, they will not bother to read it. That damages your SEO and shares and may eventually drive readers away.

Content that is just readable: Your readers should not have to work hard to understand what you are trying to say. If your content is too complicated, no one will bother to read it.

Not focusing your content on conversion: The purpose of creating content is primarily to sell. If your content does not have a clear point and is not designed to make your readers take action onderake action, it will not help your business at all.

Content for SEO

Ultimately, the goal is to create engaging, information-rich content that is useful to your readers but also contains keywords for SEO. You can also encourage followers on social media to respond to your posts by asking questions or providing opportunities for feedback. This will not only help build your brand, but also keep your website fresh and relevant for a long time, so don't forget to create content!

Whether it's about content or technical adjustments, it doesn't matter. Martijn briefs this in a very clear way so that it can be implemented locally or by our head office in France. [...] Since the start of our collaboration, we have achieved great results. Keep it up!

Marien van Stegeren

Eigenaar Kitcentrum

When your online onder venture grows, expectations often grow too, in every area. To a large extent, we were in control of SEO and its interpretation ourselves. We found out that our own "general view" was no longer sufficient, so we engaged Bureau Onder. Surprising and clear. We have built up a fine collaboration, partly because Martijn also regularly visits our office with Eline or Mariska (depending on the case), which is very valuable to us!

Martijn and Mariska make the SEO story understandable for the layman and are happy to think along with us. It is nice that there is a personal contact moment every month with an extensive report and the opportunity to talk everything through. After just a few months, Onder has already managed to achieve number 1 positions on Google with some of our webshop pages. We are very satisfied with Onder.
